The collection titled Blue Sky Divers is the body itself transformed into a spectrum of uncertainty, admirable persona, placed in the spotlight. Do we erase the traces of personality or, on the contrary, do we insist on those particularities? Photography and subjectivity are interconnected, intertwined, and superimposed inside fields of layered light. We are talking about a network of self-awareness, ambiguity, and fluidity of identity, as well as a surface that reveals ephemeral emotions. About identity, altered physical form, what remains after death, contemporary photography.
The photographs were a parallel reality, the stories about her grandfather were only auditory, from her mother's testimonies. It is an archive of a lost life and existence, of an uncertain history, in which the faces do not belong to anyone. Death is not reversible, the photographs in the Blue Sky Divers series fuel an absence to become present. The artist wants in one way or another to know him - the grandfather, deliberately, the imaginary is thus personified, with a mention that doubt absorbs the entire scene. The works create experimental dynamism. The artist encapsulates the image of her grandfather Hristescu Titus Liviu's passion for skiing firmly in her memory, imagines the constitution of a practicing athlete, and releases a humanoid entity, the emphasis falling on the essentialization of form that oscillates between two worlds, creative distortion and abstraction being rather obvious. The aestheticization of the physical reconfiguration unites the two dimensions through color. The image is abundant in blue, a cold snow-white, also of death, and a splash of color, the tension that keeps alive the memory of a micro-history.
These photographs are obtained through the technique of filming on analog VHS tape, resulting in an image altered by the demagnetization of the recording, which includes the technical approach and the sphere of glitch art. The alteration of physical form is the conceptualization of the feeling of loss of the invisible that leaves its mark on our structure of existence, shaping our thinking and perception.
A skiing humanoid form that floats between time and space, everything is uncertain as the image itself becomes an abstract appearance as a coloured spectrum of light.
